The Music Mine Studios is owned by musician businessman Peter Footitt. He saw an opportunity to rekindle the musical legacy left by a past industry in North Wales and decided to re-open what was the rehearsal rooms of a coal mine’s brass band.
He has transformed the former home of The Point of Ayr Colliery Brass Band into a modern studio facility with an acoustically-treated studio, ancillary teaching rooms, kitchen and relaxation room.
The Music Mine Studios is home again to music – teaching, rehearsal and recording.
Peter has been playing guitar since the age of ten and has been in a number of bands over the years. He is experienced in singing, playing rhythm guitar, both acoustic and electric, ukulele, mandolin and harmonica. He is a member of The Musicians Union, The Federation of Entertainments Union and the MMF. He is passionate about music and thoroughly enjoys teaching children and adults alike. Here at The Music Mine Studios, it is Peter’s goal to develop a place where musicians can find all they need under one roof.
